Gender, Health and Wellbeing: Showcasing Victoria's Women's Health Services
A three-day showcase of the work, activities and impact of the Victorian Women's Health Sector at Victoria's Parliament House
The Victorian Women's Health Services Sector will gather at Queens Hall, Parliament House, Spring Street, Melbourne, from February 19th to 23rd, 2024, to showcase its work and legacy through a series of activities and events.
Running from 9 am to 5 pm each day, the event will:
Inform parliamentarians and key stakeholders about the sector's work.
Provide insights into the issues and challenges facing women across Victoria and the efforts to promote health and wellbeing.
Facilitate discussions on how primary prevention, health promotion, and gender equality impact the local community.
Offer practical learning opportunities for everyone to contribute to the wellbeing of all women and our community.
Throughout the event, the Victorian Women's Health sector will:
Host a keynote presentation by leaders in gender equality and health, along with a panel discussion featuring sector workers on translating theory into practice.
Organise a practical learning event showcasing how the sector enhances capabilities across Victoria in crucial areas of women's safety and wellbeing.
Conduct "Ask me about..." sessions, providing stakeholders the opportunity to meet sector experts and delve into key topics and issues surrounding women's health and wellbeing in Victoria.
The event will serve as a comprehensive hub for information, services, and resources generated by the sector and its partnerships. This collective effort aims to advance equality, equity, and the health and wellbeing of women. Stay tuned for further updates.
